Our Next Meeting will be on Monday May 6th, 2013 !
Meetings are held at the Mount Pleasant Town Hall Council Chambers • 100 Ann Edwards Blvd, Mount Pleasant, SC (map). A social is held beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby area, followed by the meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. There are no meetings during the months of June, July and August.
Our Speaker for the May meeting will be Louisa Ballou, the 2011 scholarship winner. Louisa will update us on her art. Also, this year's scholarship winner will be announced.

Evening Art Market/Anson Tents @ Day Market - Downtown Charleston
The Evening Art Market takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:30pm-10:30pm.
This is a great way to get your art/ product out there as there at something very special in downtown Charleston on the weekends. Artists who participate in the Evening, they can be rotated in the Anson Tents.

Twelfth Annual South Carolina Palmetto Hands Fine Craft Competition & Exhibition & 2013 North Charleston Arts Festival Design Competition - Charleston Area Convention Center Complex - May 3-May 11, 2013.
Cash Awards totaling $6500.00 and has the option to be considered for a touring exhibit.Following the close of the exhibit, up to 30 works will be chosen to tour the state as a part of the South Carolina Museum Traveling Exhibition Program (June 2013 - May 2014).

GARDEN OF DREAMS ART COMPETITION • November 10-21, 2013
Magnolia Plantation and Gardens and the Charleston Artist Guild will award a top prize of $3,000 to the best painting that embodies the impressionistic style of painters during the Charleston Renaissance. This nationwide contest – Gardens of Dreams – is open to original artwork created and conceived by the entrants that depicts a scene at Magnolia Gardens. MPAG Scholarship Awards
The Mount Pleasant Artists Guild is pleased to announce up to $1500 in scholarship awards to be granted to a qualified high school senior who lives East of the Cooper and who will be seeking an undergraduate degree. We will be posting the updated application for the 2013-2014 Scholarship Award in the fall.

If you would like to join the Mount Pleasant Artists Guild please join us at our next meeting and pick up an application for membership. Dues are currently $40 per year. The Guild meets the first Monday of each month, from September thru May. If you enjoy working with collage or would like to try collage or mixed media, members will be meeting every Wednesday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Boys and Girls Club on King & Royal Streets in Mount Pleasant.
Painting Group
All members are encouraged to join us for our Thursday painting group. We meet at the Boys and Girls Club on King and Royal Streets in Mount Pleasant from 9am to Noon.
